MEET OUR TEAM:

Norma Keranen

Senior Paralegal

Norma began working in the legal field part-time in early 1979 with Elizabeth Whitefield and Willard Kitts. In 1981, she began full time work at Luebben, Hughes & Kelly, a firm that practiced primarily Native American Law, as an office manager/legal assistant. John Kelly, later New Mexico U.S. Attorney, then hired her as a paralegal in 1988 at a large firm with offices in Albuquerque, Roswell, Midland, and Santa Fe where she worked primarily on litigation and real estate transactions. Norma was hired by Paul Frye in 1994 as his paralegal at the Nordhaus, Haltom, Taylor, Taradash and Frye law firm, one of the oldest firms in the United States dedicated to the representation of Indian Tribes and organizations. Norma left the Nordhaus Firm with Paul in 2000, to work at the Rothstein, Donatelli law firm, with offices in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Phoenix. There, she continued to assist Paul with his Native American clients. In 2003, Paul started his own firm, the Frye Law Firm, P.C. (later Frye & Kelly, P.C., now Kelly & Associates, P.C.), and Norma left to work with him as a paralegal and office manager where she continued to work until her retirement in 2019. After a brief retirement, she returned to work part time as a paralegal for the Firm, working with Greg and Chad. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and her two dogs.

Ana Wauneka

Legal Assistant

Ana joined the Firm in 2024 as a Legal Assistant. Originally from Brazil, she moved to the United States nearly 30 years ago and has called the Southwest home ever since. Ana holds a degree in Speech Therapy and is a published author with five books released in Brazil. Before transitioning into legal services, Ana built a diverse professional background that includes freelance writing, customer service, and several years in administrative support roles. Married into the Navajo Nation, her journey has been shaped by cross-cultural experiences and a deep respect for storytelling and identity, which inspires her dedication to meaningful, community-oriented work. Outside the office, she continues to write, explore local history, and enjoy time with her family.
